Test Results

test_results6If you wish to enquire whether your test results are back, please ring after 10:30. The policy of the practice is that receptionists are only allowed to pass on the comment that the doctor has attached to the test result, e.g. “normal”, “satisfactory” or “abnormal, see as planned”.

If your test result is abnormal then you should make an appointment to discuss the results further. Whilst the surgery often sends out letters for abnormal results, we advise all patients to ring after one week to check that their results are back and that they are normal.

Our SMS text messaging service has now been swtiched on and we may use this method for informing some patients of their test results.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.
